Our Opportunity
 
Our new Print Textile Designer will work collaboratively with our Buying Manager and Buying teams on the development of print artwork for the business, that are on trend and relevant to our Sportsgirl customer. 
 
Your experience and ability to work with patterns and engineer print placements is key! You will love interpreting colour and print trends and independently creating innovative original prints and patterns to support seasonal and monthly concept presentations. 
 

Key responsibilities:

  • Present and communicate print and colour trends to the Buying Manager and Buying teams.
  • Identify the key print trends for Sportsgirl, understanding the customer profile
  • Assist in setting print direction for the season together with the Buying Manager
  • Work with external print artwork to create original monthly print stories
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the print offer
  • Research and develop ideas from a compilation of directives using various resources
  • Create CADS for monthly trend collections Communication of direction with Buying team to ensure proper execution of prints/embroideries
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Art & design/Textile Design qualification
  • Previous design experience
  • Demonstrated Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management capability
  • Global awareness of competitive environment
