About the role 

As part of our Group Finance Team and working closely with our Leasing teams and other departments, you will provide effective administration, payments, and lease accounting support to the Leasing Finance Team across each of our brands. Working across month end reconciliation as well as managing rental payments, your high attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities will be utilised as will your initiative and collaborative approach.

Located at our Cremorne Head Officer, this role is an integral part of the team and will see you utilising your strong numerical and analytical skills as well as excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with our Finance Analyst, Group Financial Controller, CFO & Group Leasing Manager/Leasing team regularly.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Preparation of monthly prepayments, store level rent, percentage rent accrual journals and other month end activities
• Complete store level financial analysis to explain variance in payment amounts
• Review & maintain detailed store level reconciliation to account for rent paid, abatements, outgoings, and any other adjustments
• Payment of rent and all associated charges for Sussan Group
• Communicate and liaise regularly with the Group Leasing Team and external landlords
• Complete audited sales reporting

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable position with exposure to Leasing or Property ideal
• Demonstrated experience reconciling and working with large data sets
• Strong problem solving and decision-making capabilities
• High commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Experience in retail industry desirable
• Experience using various accounting packages, Netsuite preferred
