Digital Project Manager/Product Owner (12 month contract)

Reporting directly to our Group IT Digital Manager, this role is responsible for the project coordination, management and prioritisation of the Ecommerce development work done by our Systems Integrator for all three brands of the Sussan Group (Sussan, Sportsgirl and Suzanne Grae). This will include ensuring bottlenecks are removed, the teams maintain an appropriate level of focus on current objective and all features are user-validated and have quantifiable/measurable success/fail metrics.

This position will also provide business analysis to ensure the Group’s e-commerce platforms are performing at an optimal level.

This position is based at our National Office in Cremorne (VIC) and is a 12 month contract.


  • Develop the e-commerce platform and eco-system in conjunction with our Technology Partners, the Group IT Digital Manager and the Brand Digital Managers
  • Act as a Product Owner to prioritise and manage the Essential Maintenance and Site Optimisation Roadmap for the three brands ecommerce sites in conjunction with Brand Digital Managers, Technology Partners and Group IT
  • Take the lead on resolving site technical issues as well as any optimisations or enhancements
  • Coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing where required including end to end testing for key integrations with our core retail systems and third parties
  • Provide Business Analysis and technical advice to help Brand Digital Managers, Technology partners and Group IT trouble-shoot site and digital business process issues in conjunction with the relevant business departments
  • Analyse Sussan Group and third party systems, data and platforms that make up the ecommerce eco-system to optimize the customer journey on existing Magento 1 sites and provide intelligence and insights to the Group IT Digital Manager for re-platforming
  • Research, develop and deliver detailed business cases where required to support digital initiative and strategy


  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business Systems and/or Project Management desirable
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated experience working in an e-commerce environment as a Product Owner, Project Coordinator or Business Analyst
  • Experience using MS Excel and website analytics/ optimisation tools essential
  • Experience using workflow/issue and project tracking programs (e.g. JIRA)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
